The territory of the Maremma is characterized also today by the presence of the ancient Prile lake. During a tour in the nature reserve Diaccia Botrona, internationally recognized humid area, we can admire the traces of this ancient history and find at the same time a nowadays unique flora and fauna.
At the edges of the Prile lake we find the hills that today make part of another important park: the regional park of the Maremma or Parco dell’Uccellina. Thanks to the new bridge over the Ombrone river we can reach the Maremma park during a nice ride and discover an unspoiled area between hills and wild beaches.
